Location-It is located in the eastern Karakoram range in the Himalayas mountain .It is one of the five largest glacier in Karakoram.The Siachen glacier is located at an altitude of 18000 feet above sea level.Most of the siachen glacier falls under the line of control between Pakistan and India.

- It is the largest glacier in India with the width of 2.8 Km and length of 75.6 Km.
- It has a large number of fast flowing streams and 12 medial moraines.
Climatic condition-
- It is a cold and inhospitable region.Here summers are very short.
- In winter Temperature in Siachen glacier can drop to minus 70 Degree Celcius.
- It is covered with snow in the middle.
