Please find below solutions to some of your queries:

If sum of 3 terms of an AP is given, then take the numbers in such a way that 'd' cancel out after adding the numbers. 

Let the three numbers in AP be a - d, a, a + d

Sum of numbers = 



and product of numbers =


For, a = 5 and d = 3, 
Numbers are 2, 5 and 8.

For a = 5 and d = -3
Numbers are 8, 5 and 2.
