The iron consumption here in India is not sufficient despite
being one of the leading exporters of the iron ore and also being
self sufficient in iron production The reasons are the lack of
proper technology which ought to have had explored the resources in
a judicious way
It important for our country to keep the mill loomage lower than
power loom and hand loom because the latter are used by the cottage
and small industries which provide jobs to many and also doing so
will make individual weavers jobless
