The Flora and Fauna are mainly the plant life and the wildlife of a particular region.
Flora of Prairie: Different types of grasses and many species of flowers are grown in the Praires.Some of them are spear grass, blue grama grass, sagebrush, yellow cactus, prickly pear, buckbrush, chokecherry, parry oat grass, june grass etc. Wild flowers like prairie rose, gumweed, gumbo primrose, golden rod, clover, wild indigo etc.
Fauna of Praires: Animals like bison, elk, jack rabbits ,prairie dogs, golden eagles, burrowing owls etc. are found here.
Flora of Veld: The land is covered by grasses. Red grass grows in bush veld. In high veld acacia and maroola are seen.
