1) The climate of a place is affected by its location, altitude, distance from the sea, and relief. Hence, we experience regional differences in climate
2) Coastal places like Mumbai and Kolkata experience moderate climate. They are neither too hot nor too cold. Being on the coast these places are very humid.
3) In Drass and Kargil in Jammu and Kashmir people experience freezing cold and this is due to variation in precipitation level in these regions. Precipitation is mostly in the form of snowfall in upper parts of Himalayas and hence, Jammu & Kashmir experience freezing cold climate

1) In summer, it is extremely heat in Rajasthan, around 50°C while it is around 20°Cin Jammu and Kashmir.
2) In Thar desert it is hot during the day while it is cold during the night. These variations are due to difference in temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind, humidity and precipitation.
