10 EXAMPLE OF LAW OF INERTIA IN OUR EVERY DAY LIFE. PLEASE GIVE ANS WITH THEIR EXPLANATION.

1. Falling on jumping from a moving vehicle: The lower body in touch with the ground stops but the upper body continues to move due to inertia this lets one fall.

2. Things remain in their place when not moved: Inertia of rest.

3. After peddling the bicycle it moves to a distance without pedal: Inertia of motion.

4. Band-aid / leucoplast is easily removed when peeled off fast: When the leucoplast is peeled off slowly it gets time to bind to skin layer firmly and cause pain. If it is done fast the skin remains in the rest due to inertia and the force just pulls the leucoplast off.

5. Satellites move in space due to inertia of motion.

6. A stone thrown vertically up do not change its path: Inertia of direction.

7. When a knife is sharpened on a rotating grinding wheel the fiery particles move tangent to the wheel: This happens because of inertia of direction whereby a particle coming out of the knife tends to move in the direction of tangent to the surface of the wheel and cannot change its direction to move along the wheel.

8.  A thread is snapped easily in a jerk then when pulled slowly: If the thread is pulled slowly it transfers the force to the sides pulling it. If the thread is pulled fast in a jerk the thread remains at rest and all of the force acts on it that makes it snap.

9.  A cardboard is placed over a glass with a ball on its top. The ball falls into the glass if the cardboard is moved fast. This happens because when the cardboard is slide fast the ball stays at rest due to the inertia of rest.

10. A car continues to move forward for sometime even if its engine is switched off. Inertia of motion.
