But the solution is incomplete.

The missing part is:

The two angles are 3x = 3 × 15° = 45° and 5x = 5 × 15° = 75°.

 

Note: The two angles are taken as 3x and 5x because they are in the ratio 3:5.

Two angles are said to be supplementary when their sum is 180°

So, (x +30) + (5x + 30) =180

 Let each angle be 3x & 5x.    Then,3x+30 & 5x+30 because each angle is increased.                                                                                               then 3x+30+5x+30=180.    8x+60=180.   8x=120.    x=15
