Total number of white balls initially = x

So,

$P (W h i t e b a l l s) = \frac{x}{12}$

6 more white balls are added to the bag.

So,

$P' (w h i t e b a l l s) = \frac{x + 6}{18}$

So according to the question,

$\frac{x + 6}{18} = 2 (\frac{x}{12}) 6 x + 36 = 18 x x = 3$
