a chord of a circle of radius 10 cm subtends a right angle at the centre. find the following.
- area of minor sector
- area of miner segment
- area of major segment
(use phai=3.14)
Hi!
Let AB be the chord of circle of radius 10 cm. Let O be the centre of the circle.
Area of minor segment = area of sector AOB – area of ΔAOB = 78.57 – 50 = 28.57 cm2
Area of major segment = area of circle – area of minor circle
= πr2 – 28.57
= 314.28 – 28.57
= 285.71 cm2
Cheers!
