The length of the side of the field =10m
The perimeter of the field = 4×10m =40m
Distance travelled by the farmer in 40s =
10m
Speed of the farmer = 10m/40s = 0 25m/s
2minutes and 20 seconds = 2×60+20 =140s
Distance covered in 140s = 0 25×140 =35m
Therefore, displacement from initial position
= 40-35 =5m
