A friend of yours has been out of station for a month and there was an important event /function held in the school while he/she was away. Write him/her a letter describing of the event/function, and your role in it and why your friend was missed.

Dear Farhan,
I was glad to receive your letter. It was a pleasure to know the details about your Ladakh trip. It seems amazing and am looking forward to taking that trip myself sometime soon. You remember I wrote to you about how excited I was and busy because of the annual function at my school. Here in this letter I would describe the events and the share of joy I gained of this function.
Well, the annual function of my school was held on 2nd January, Tuesday. A stage was built up. Three big ‘Shamianas’ were fixed. Our Education Minister was the Chief Guest for the day. We began by lighting Diya with chanting of a few slokas from the Holy book Gita. A cultural show was arranged, in which a welcome song was sung by the choir group of our school, various performances like solo songs, one-act plays, folk dances and songs were presented. After the cultural show, the Principal read the Annual Report. The chief guest distributed prizes to the meritorious students and the best performers. He was very grateful that he was invited on such an occasion and he could attend it. He was very impressed by our welcome and recollected his childhood days. He was elated and praised the efforts made by our school in preparing the students for the annual function. The function ended after a tea-party. It was a properly arranged and well managed function.
