A wire has a resistance of 10 ohm . If this wire is used to make a circle then what is the resistance of its diametre.
I am getting answer as 3.18(approx) ohms but want to confirm.
Along its diameter resistance would be 2.5 ohm.
10 is divided into 2 halves, of 5 ohm and 5 ohm.
So
1/Resistance = 1/5+1/5=2/5
Resistance=2.5Ohm
