Here, the poet is reminded again that the paths are equal. We also get to know that it is morning time and so the poet is probably the first one to travel to this place. Since nobody has come to this path before him, the leaves are not crushed.  The poet is aware of the fact that life probably would not allow him the choice to return, even if he disliked the path.
