Narrate the elaborate preparations made by the ghost to tame the twins.

The Ghost made a elaborate plans to frighten the Otis family. He decided that he will "gibber" and mumble from the bottom of Washington Otis' bed. When Washington was sufficiently frightened, he would proceed to the twins room. He would first sit on the twin's chests, so that they had the sensation of having a nightmare. When they would wake up from the nightmare, the Ghost would appear standing between their beds, in the form of a green corpse. The corpse would be icy-cold and covered in a shroud. After the twins have been sufficiently frightened by the apparition, the Ghost, "throw off the winding-sheet, and crawl round the room, with white, bleached bones and one rolling eyeball, in the character of 'Dumb Daniel, or the Suicide's Skeleton,". The Ghost was confident that the twins would definitely be frightened, once this act was completed.
