Are their any disadvantages of excessive use of manures?
Yes excessive use of manure may lead to several harmful effects such as:
- Sometimes manure contains weed seeds that give rise to the weeds on the crop field.
- Manure carries E.coli bacteria which cause severe diarrhoea and abdominal cramp.
- The salt content of manure is usually very high. Deposition of salt in the soil may damage the roots of the plants.
