Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Why is it regarded as a mixture
Dear student
Brass is an alloy but it is regarded as a mixture because:
1) It shows the properties of its constituents and
2)It has a variable composition.
these are characteristics of a mixture but shown by alloys as well. Thus alloys can in general be referred as mixtures.
