can you also explain the difference between convergent beam , divergent beam , parallel beam and a ray

Convergent beam:
When the light rays are focussed at a point, then the collection of such rays is called convergent beam.
Divergent beam:
When the rays of light starting from a point travel in different directions, then the collection of such rays is called divergent beam.
Parallel beam:
A collection of rays which are parallel to each other is called parallel beam.
Ray:

A ray is just a single ray of light and is shown by an arrow.

convergent beam means where the group of rays meet at a point.

divergent beam is a point from where group of rays spread apart in diffetent directions

parallel beam means where all the beam of light be parallel to each other

the path of light which gives the direction of propogation of light is called the ray
