cooking is easier in pressure cooker but difficult on hills.why?
We know that atmospheric pressure decreases with height. Hence at higher altitudes, the atmospheric pressure will be low. Therefore the boiling point of water will be lower than 1000 C (boiling point is the temperature at which the pressure of a liquid becomes equal to that of the surroundings). As a result, at higher altitude, food would be undercooked. A pressure cooker raises the pressure and hence water will boil at a higher temperature inside a pressure cooker. Hence the food will not be undercooked.
