Objectives of the constitution drafted by the National Assembly are as follows :

1)To limit the powers of the monarch
2)Distribution of power between the legislature, executive and the judiciary.
3) Stripping of the privileges enjoyed by the nobility and clergy.
4)To reduce the power s of the church.
5)Granting of the natural rights of man such as right to life, freedom of speech, equality before law etc.
