Describe in brief the pen picture of the nareator's grand mother high lighting her noble qualities.

chaptr- the portrait of a lady

Dear Student

The narrator tells us that though his grandmother may not be pretty, she does have a certain beauty. She was a devout woman, and always immersed herself in prayer. She was always praying, even when bathing, feeding and dressing up the narrator. She was very much interested in his education and would walk all the way to school with him and and would back home with him. When the narrator was at school studying, she would wait there immersing herself in the scriptures.

She can be considered selfless because not only did she take care of the author wholeheartedly, she also took care of stray dogs by feeding them. Later on in her life, she also developed the habit of feeding sparrows. In fact, the day she died, the sparrows came as usual, but did not eat anything, as if they were only there to pay their respects to the noble woman.
