Isotopes - Atoms of the same element havi same atomic numbers but different mass numbers.

Isobars - Atoms of different elements having same mass numbers but different atomic numbers.

ISOTOPES

1 ATOMS oF same element HAVINGSAME ATOMIC NO.  but have different mass number.

2.)They have same number of protons and electrons but different number of neutrons.

3.)Example:-Carbon- 612 C and  146C .

ISOBARS

1.)Atoms of different elements but having same mass number.

2.)They haveSANE MASS NO.BUT different atomic NO.

3.) 4018Ar and 2040 Ca

Atoms of same atomic number but have different mass number are called Isotopes.

Whereas the the atoms having same atomic mass but different atomic number are called Isobars.

So, Isotopes and Isobars are completely opposite from each other.  :-)

*Isotopes and isobars are very different.

**Isotopes are different atoms of the same element that have varying atomic masses (such as U-237 and U-235; i.e. they differ only in the number of neutrons contained within the nucleus),

***while isobars are a computed line through a variable region that all have the same value lines on a. The specific line around a low pressure system where the pressure at every point on the line is the same atmospheric pressure is an isobar.
Isobars are nuclei of different elements having the same mass number but different atomic number.
