difference between kelvin scale and celsius scale

Degree Celsius  relates to, the Celsius temperature scale (previously known as the centigrade scale). The scale based on 0 for the freezing point of water and 100 for the boiling point of water. 0o C accounts to 273.15 K.
Kelvin scale, which is the SI base unit of temperature (symbol: K). It has as its zero point absolute zero, the theoretical temperature at which the molecules of a substance have the lowest energy. 0K accounts to -273.15oC
They both are related as:
K = °C + 273.15
°C = K − 273.15

TheKelvin scale starts atabsolute zero, where particles stop moving.TheCelsius scale has degrees the same size as Kelvin, but sets 0 as the freezing pint of water and 100 as the boiling point of water. 0 C is 273 degrees K, The Kelvin scale starts 273 lower than Celsius. absolute zero on the Celsius scale is -273 Add 273 to K to get C

kelvin scale does not give negative value but celcius scale can give a negative value too.

  • 0

celcius scale takes two arbitrary values of freezing point and boiling point of ice while kelvin scale considers absolute zero and triple point of water as two fixed values.
