Planets are heavenly objects which revolve around a parent star. Satellite, either manmade or natural, revolve around a larger planet.

PLANETS:these are the celestial bodies which do not have there own light and they revolve around the sun in a definite path

SATELLITES: the word "satellite" refers to a machine that is launched into space and moves around Earth or another body in space.
