difference between sheep rearing and animal herding

Sheep rearing refers to the process of raising and bringing up the sheeps until they are fully grown. It involves taking care of the sheeps such that they can be used for obtaining wool, milk or meat.

Herding is a group of cattle or other domestic animals of a single kind kept together for a specific purpose.

Sheep farming is the raising and breeding of domestic sheep. It is a branch of animal husbandry. Sheep are raised principally for their meat, lamb or mutton, for their milk, or for wool. They also yield sheepskin and parchment.

Herding is the act of bringing individual animals together into a group (herd), maintaining the group and moving the group from place to place—or any combination of those. While the layperson uses the term "herding", most individuals involved in the process term it mustering, "working stock" or droving.
