differenciate between ethanol and ethanoic acid ?

The differences are:

i. Ethanol is a neutral liquid and Ethanoic acid is an acidic liquid.

ii. Ethanol has -OH group and is an alcohol whereas ethanoic acid contains -COOH group and is an acid

iii. Like alcohols, ethanol is pleasant smelling where as carboxylix acid has pungent smell.

iv. We form ethanoic acid when we oxidize ethanol.
