differentiate between the ways of muhammad tughluq's and alauddin khalji's administratative measures during the mongol attack

Delhi Sultanate had to face severe attacks from the Mongols. Both Muhammad Tughlaq and Allaudin Khilji had to take various administrative measures during the Mongol attack. But the measures adopted by them were different.

Muhammad Tughlaq was a ruler who lacked foresight and planning. His administrative policies were weak. To protect his capital Delhi from the constant attack of the nobles he shifted it to Daulatabad. The people had to face difficulties as they had shift to interior places where livelihood became a problem. Later, when the ruler realised that ruling North-western frontiers became difficult from Daulatabad, he again shifted to Delhi.

Allaudin Khilji was a great administrator who possessed skills of planning. To secure his kingdom from external attacks he repaired old forts in the Northwest frontier province. He appointed skilled governors. The responsibilities of protecting the borders were given to the experienced generals like Malik Kafur and Zafar Khan.
