hi ,

Tributaries are small streams of lines of water which later run into the main stream of river . there are a number of tributaries which join to form a main flowing river.

Distributaries are opposite of tributaries. they are also streams ,but they branch away from the main stream or river.Distributaries usually occur as a stream nears a lake or the ocean.

i hpoe u r clear with it.

thumbs up plz

but i want more then 1 points sorry can u give me one more i'll be highly obliged

yeah i can give u more than one point if necessary.

tributaries do not flow into a a sea, they drain the surrounding drainage basins of its surface water and ground water leading it into the sea, along with the main stream. the point of meeting of 2 or more water bodies is usually referred as joining of tributaries.

The largest tributary to the Ganga is the Ghaghara, which meets it before Patna, in Bihar.

distributaries are also known as distributary channels.they are commonly found near river deltas. The phenomenon is known as river bifurcation. In some cases, a minor distributary can "steal" so much water from the main channel that it can become the main route. The Nile River has two distributaries, the Rosetta and the Damietta branches.

thats all the information i know about them . any doubts then pls ask.

pls give thumbs up
