explain detection of amplitude modulated wave

The production and detection of amplitude modulated wave is well explained in the study material given in our website. You can refer to it.

Detection is the process of isolating the signal from its carrier.  In other words, it is called Demodulation of amplitude modulated wave.  in the receiving antenna, the amplitude modulated (AM) wave is received.  then it is amplified and is fed into a demodulating circuit.  for that we use Superhetrodyne principle.  Now i am not going into the details of the Superhetrodyne principle.   using the demodulating circuit the original signal is separted from the carrier and is fed into an amplifier.  then it is fed into the speaker.  This is how a detection of amplitude modulated wave is done.
