Explain NAREGA , breifly??

National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) 2005 was passed in September 2005. 

a. The Act provides 100 days assured employment every year to every rural household.

b. The act aims to ensure right to work and livelihood in rural areas.

c. The act provides for minimum wage and focuses on labor intensive techniques including making roads, provision for water harvesting.

d. Its provisions have been extended to all the villages.

e. It provides for 1/3rd reservation of jobs for women.
