Explain the process of convection cycle.

Convection is the process in which heat is transferred from one point to another by the actual movement of the material particles from a region of high temperature to a region of low temperature.

In convection cycle, heat is absorbed from the source by a portion of fluid that is being heated. The heated particles move to the colder regions of the fluid. The heated particles share their heat with the colder particles. The space vacated by this movement is filled by colder particles. These colder particles absorb heat from the source and move to colder regions. In this way, the cycle is repeated.
