The process in which an organism is cut into many fragments(parts) and these parts grow and proliferate to give rise to new individuals is called regeneration. regeneration is different from reproduction because in the process of regeneration the organism needs to be cut if they want to reproduce. Thus regeneration does not follow the process of reproduction as in the process of regeneration external factors are the cause of the giving rise o new individuals.
