2y + 3 = 0
y = -3/2

So, p(-3/2) = 0
or 2 * (-3/2)3 + 9 * (-3/2)2 - (-3/2) - a = 0
or  -27/4 + 81/4 + 3/2 - a = 0
or (-27 + 81 + 6) / 4 - a = 0
or ( 60/4) - a = 0
or 15 - a = 0
or a = 15
