Full form of DHA

DHA can stand for:

  • Department of Health and Ageing
  • Dihydroxyacetone
  • Dehydroascorbic acid, etc.

So, it is not possible to exactly comment on this untill we have an idea of the field you are talking about like for say chemistry or some particular department.

Dehydroascorbic acid (DHA) is an oxidized form of ascorbic acid. It is actively imported into the endoplasmic reticulum of cells via glucose transporters. It is trapped therein by reduction back to ascorbate by glutathione and other thiols. Therefore L-dehydroascorbic acid is a vitamin C compound much like L-ascorbic acid. The (free) chemical radical semi-dehydroascorbic acid (SDA) also belongs to the group of oxidized ascorbic acids.
