give brief views about India before independence and after independence?

India before Independence is characterized by the following:

a. We saw the rise of East India Company which came as a trading company and set the foundation of the British rule in India.
b. Political occupation of the country to consolidate British control.
c. We witnessed rise of nationalism , first war of Independence 1857, followed by the emergence of Congress in 1885.
d. This period is marked by the British policy of divide and  rule, economic exploitation,oppressive British acts etc.
e. We saw the rise of national movement, Moderates phase and extremist phase.
f. The advent of Mahatma Gandhi that changed the course of national struggle.
g. Rise of mass movements like Non cooperation, civil disobedience , Quit India Movement.
h. This period witnessed the rise of Muslim League, demanding separate state for Muslims.

India After Independence:
a.  Marked the birth of newly independent country.
b. Witnessed the problem of partition, of integration of Princely states.
c. Framed its own constitution and became the largest democracy in the World.
d. Pursued varied economic policies from mixed economy to stress on public sector.
e. In 1991,adopted New economic policy, adopted liberalization and became part of the Globalised World.
f. Witnessed  the rise of national parties and regional parties.

Independence Day India: Before After Independence Before its independence in 1947, Britain ruled India as a colony and they would relinquish power only after a long struggle by the native people. After India achieved freedom it thought of becoming a global leader based on Indian values of universal tolerance, peace and brotherhood.
