Homologous organs:-The homologous organs are similar in form (or are embryologically same), but perform different functions in different organisms.

 for example:-

Examples of homologous organs are as follows: 

The thorn and tendrils of Bougainvillea and Cucurbita (both are of stem origin)

Leaf tendril of pea plant and leaf spine of barberry.

 Rhizome of ginger and tuber of potato( both are stem modification)
