Chuck was a very courageous person. This can be justified by the very first incidence after he comes back from the hospital. His courage can be noticed when he wants to stand up to meet Duke, his pet dog. Later, instances of him fighting to recover from his illness with the help of his dog show how courageous and brave he is.

Getting up after falling down for a million times show how true the saying is that "perseverance always pays". Strong undeterred determination has shown how man can succeed even when doors of all opportunities seem to close.

Chuck's determination is noteworthy. He had faced a very traumatic experience and yet, he never said no to any effort initiated by Duke in trying to get him walk on his feet. He remained undaunted and focussed and thus set a goal to walk a mile on a fixed date.

Strong power of endurance and the capacity to stay alarmed and focussed even after the failure from the medical team shows how Chuck succeeded in achieving the unattainable at such a short period of time.

The root of determination and courage is faith or belief in one's own self. Only when a person feels that he can and will definitely achieve a set target, he can attain new levels of success. Chuck's faith in his dog and in himself was so strong that he did what medical practitioners thought was not possible at such a short period of time.
