Good Afternoon Experts,
I was reading physics, and I am not able to understand the Quadrants concepts using trigonometric table and using quadrants like in the fig.

I had shown here, but don't know the methodoly followed to know about the values like sin150, tan360, sin1050 and etc.
Please made the concept clear to me in the very easy way.
waiting for your reply.

Dear Student,

As given in the figure that In 1st quadrant, all positive,In 2nd quadrant, sine and cosec positive,In 3rd quadrant, tan and cot positive and In 4th quadrant, cosine and sec positive.For example : (1) sin150°You can write sin150° in different ways like,sin150°=sin180°-30°or, sin150°=sin90°+60°For 180°, sine, cos, tan, cosec, sec, cot will remain same. But for 90°, sine will convert into cosine, tan convert into cot and cosec convert into sec.For 180°,sin150°=sin30° .......... because sin180°-θ will be in 2nd quadrant. Hence, the sign will be positivesin150°=12  ..........because sin30°=12For 90°,sin150°=cos60° .......... Again the sign will be positive because sin90°-θ will be in 2nd quadrantsin150°=12  ..........because cos60°=12(2) tan360°Similarly, you can write tan360° in different ways like,tan360°=tan270°+90°or, tan360°=tan360°-0°For 360°, sine, cos, tan, cosec, sec, cot will remain same. But for 270°, sine will convert into cosine, tan convert into cot and cosec convert into sec.For 270°,tan360°=-cot90° .......... because tan270°+θ will be in 4th quadrant. Hence, the sign will be negativetan360°=0 ..........because cot90°=0For 360°,tan360°=-tan0° .......... because tan360°-θ will be in 4th quadrant. Hence, the sign will be negativetan360°=0 ..........because tan0°=0Similarly, you can try for others. If you still face any difficulty regarding the same, then do get back to us.We will help you in a better way.
