hey guyss plz help me out :q. wht r transgenic organisms? which property of dna iz used as a tool in genitic engineering?

Transgenic organisms are the one which have modified DNA in them so that they express characteristics that are not naturally present in these species.

Complementarity is a property of DNA that is used as a tool in genetic engineering. It states that when two strand of DNA are aligned antiparallel to each other, the nucleotide bases at each position will be complementary, i.e. according to Watson-Crick base pairing rule Adenine will pair with thymine by two hydrogen bonds while guanine will pair with cytosine by three hydrogen bonds.

The organisms containing artificially inserted genetic material from another species are known as transgenic organisms.

As per my knowledge, the property of DNA used in genetic engineering are:

DNA ligase: provides the ability to rejoin cut fragments of DNA & form artificial recombinant molecules

DNA Polymerases: Allow the synthesis of DNA from a pre-existing template in vitro, which can then be used for a variety of purposes, including sequence analysis by chain-termination methods.
