how amoeba is different from hydra?

Amoeba reproduces by Binary fission where as Hydra reproduces by regeneration.

An amoeba divides into 2 identical daughter cells that too it can happen on any plane.

whereas in the case of hydra, a bud is formed due the continuous cell division in a particular region. As a result, the bud grows and as it detaches from the parent, it becomes a new individual.

hope your doubt is cleared .

Amoeba reproduces by Binary fission i.e. it divides into two cells in any plane and hydra reproduces by budding i.e. the bud forms and separates from the parent plant and develops in a new organism

NOTE:- Hydra also reproduce by regeneration but that is not a reliable method as the organism cannot rely on getting cut to reproduce

Study hard!!!!!!
