How can an unsaturated solution can be concentrated as well as dilute.

Explain with the help of example.

Dear student!
An unsaturated solution can be concentrated by adding more amount of solute so that the solute concentration increases than the solvent concentration and solution becomes concentrated.

While, to dilute an unsaturated solution we need to add more of the water (solvent) so that the concentration of solute particles is decreased and solvent is increased.

For ex: A solution of water and sugar is unsaturated, and one cup of water contains 5 spoons of sugar.

Now if we add 3-4 spoons of sugar to the solution the concentration of the solution will increase.

Similarly, if we add half cup of water to the above solution, then the solution will become dilute.

I hope it clears.
