How can the focus point of a cinvex moirror be behind the reflecting surface
Dear Student
Pole is the central point of reflecting surface. Think of a hollow sphere from which the mirror is cut out. Centre of this hollow sphere is called center of curvature. Hence, irrespective of the type of mirror, position of center of curvature is fiixed.
Focus of any spherical mirror is defined as a point which lies between centre of curvature and pole of the mirror. Thus, Focus of convex miror lies in the opposite side of reflecting surface.
Hopr it is clear to you!
Cheers!!
