 Mahatma gandhi thought that english education has enslaved us and we should not learn english or any english education and we should learn handicrafts etc.

Rabindranath tagore thought we should learn both western education and about technology as well as handicrafts and indian education.

Mahatma Gandhi was critical of the colonial education. He wanted the indians to learn their national language instead of English. He wanted the indians to take pride in their own language and not become slaves of western culture.

Rabindranath Tagore wanted to combine the elements of western education with indian education. At his school- shantiniketan he also taught art, music and dance. He wanted the child to think independantly and learn in a free environment without strict discipline.
