How does a manometer works?

A manometer is a device used to measure pressure of gases in laboratory. The measurement made by this device is limited to pressures near the atmospheric pressure.

The pressure of the gas is given by the product of density of the blue liquid, the height difference 'h' and the acceleration due to gravity.
