initial velocity, u= 45 km/hr = 12.5 m/sec
final velocity, v= 0 km/hr = 0 m/sec   because car is going to stop when it collides with tree
Time, t =55 sec

v = u +at            from newtons first law of motion

putting value of v, u ,t. we get,

0 = 12.5 + a*55
a = -12.5/55

a= - 5/22 m/sec  here -ve sign show retardation

now
F= m*a
F= 1000 * -5/22
F = - 227.27N or approx - 227.3N
