how SF6 has regular geomatry

Sulpur atom in SF6 undergoes sp3d2 hybridisation each of which forms a bond with one F atom.
According to VSEPR theory, central S atom has 6 valence electrons which bond with the six F atoms.
In both cases there is a symmetrical distribution of charge around S atom and hence it has a regular octahedral geometry.
