how to find equivalent resistance of an infinite circuit?

Solution:

Suppose total resistance=x

  • 3

look at the circuit carefully ......... u will find same pattern is repeating . Asuume eqi. resistance to be 'X' Now take out that small part which is 'Repeated' , Solve it ( AS IN PARALLEL OR SERIES OR BOTH) lets its eqi. resistance be' A' and add 'X' to it & then put it equal to 'X' ......

A+X=X....... And now u can find X

from yhe eqtn!

EXPLANATION,

Since infinite means huge i.e  nearlyuncountable , so if we take ot small part from it(X)  or add small part to it(X)  , then it almost has no effect on circuit
