how to solve fecl3+H2S ------>fecl2+HCL+s

While balancing a chemical equation, the most important thing that should be taken care of is that the number of atoms of all the elements are same on both the sides of the equation. We have been given the following equation

 FeCl3 + H2S --------> FeCl2 + HCl + S

In the above equation, only the number of hydrogen atoms are not the same on both the sides of the equation. Therefore we write 2 in front of HCl. We now get

 FeCl3 + H2S --------> FeCl2 + 2HCl + S

This however makes the number of chlorine atoms unequal. So in order to make the number of water molecules equal, we write the balanced equation as

 2FeCl3 + H2S --------> 2FeCl2 + 2HCl + S

The above equation is now completely balanced.
