Hydra and sponges do not posses a circulatory system. How does circulation of nutrients and oxygen occur in these animals?

Dear Student!

These organisms are very simple and they do not require a circulatory system. Since their body wall is very thin and they are surrounded by water, substances can easily diffuse in and out of the body. Their simple structure helps them in circulation.
