I am not able to understand shia muslims ,sunni muslims and what are khalifas?Plz answer fast because my ss test is on saturday..history ch-1

 shia muslims-there were the shai muslims who believed in prophet muhammads son-in-law ali ,was legitimate leader of the muslims community.

sunni muslims-muslims who accepted the authority of the the early leaders khalifas of the community, and the succeeding khalifas.

khalifas-Khalifa (mansa)) Mansa Khalifa was the fourth mansa of the Mali Empire. He ruled the empire for only a year from 1274 to his assassinat.
