i want to write a essay on subject how i spent my holiday please help me........................!

Its summer holidays. Father proudly announces that this year we are to visit Bhubaneswar in Orissa. As our train transits from the southern belt towards the east, the red soil and brownish rocky landscape transforms into a lavish green belt interspersed with springs and lakes.

An endless sea of water with dingy fishing boats, fishing nets pegged in shallow water emerges. I am told this is the famous Chilika Lake. The world's largest fresh water lake. Bhubaneswar is known as temple city. The famous Lingaraj temple of lord Shiva stood majestically surrounded by one hundred shivalingas built all around the temple lands that stretched over quite a few kilometers.

Our next stop was Konark. Enroute we passed through the famous Pipli village. Pipli is famous for appliqué work. There were colorful umbrellas, lamps, table covers and assorted things. Mother nearly bought the whole shop! The Sun temple at Konark is an architectural wonder, built in the shape of a chariot. This temple is dedicated to the sun god. The first ray of the sun falls at the feet of the deity. Each year the government organizes the dance festival of India here. Famous dancers of all schools come here to perform.

One last stop was Puri. There was this beautiful stretch of road along the sea. Lined with cashew nut plantations, palm trees and birds like the Siberian cranes. It was wonderful. The Puri beach was simply exotic. There were guides with tubes and comical caps that took us into the sea to swim. We collected shells, stones, artifacts to remember this lovely town.

Last stop was the Jagannath temple at Puri. Sitting majestically were 3 idols of Balbhadra, Subhadra and Jagannath. I prayed and thanked them for this lovely holiday and all the love and affection we had shared as family members on this trip together. That, also, our love and bonds be as strong as them brothers and sister. This holiday to the coastal state of Orissa shall be the most memorable holiday of my life.

Last winter, with my family I had gone to Shimla for holidays. That was a very memorable moment for me. It was a three day vacation in Shimla.
With my parents, my brother and one of my cousin had gone. It was winter of December and we went northwards to north it became cold.
It was very enjoyable in the toy train and was very exciting. The roads were wide and the train was slow. The hills were beautiful. We were going up in the Himalayas. Below it was lush green, with some terrace cultivation and some forests , and above the lofty Himalayas, with snow peaks.
It took us almost 12 hours to reach Shimla from New Delhi. I was tired and took a nap. Suddenly my cousin, Neha woke me up. It was evening, she insisted me to see outside. Wow ! it was very beautiful. It was very bright. All the bulbs were on. It seemed to me like heaven. I felt good and all my tiredness was gone.
At 8 0’ clock in the evening , we reached Shimla. It was very cold. My father had booked a hotel. We took our dinner  and slept. It was very cold. My mother had put three blankets and I slept quite well due to the tiredness.
By 7 a. m. we woke up. It was very cold so the water pipes were jammed, so we had to finish our work with little water. The morning sun was soothing , and the buttered Aloo Parathas for breakfast was delicious. We had hired a taxi to go to Kufri. Last night there was snow fall and Kufri was very beautiful to see.
It took us one hour to reach Kufri. Suddenly I felt cold in my face and saw ice flakes for the very first time and had only seen on television and felt ecstatic. We hired gum boots to walk in the snow. As we got up the snow increased. It was thrilling and had never seen so much of snow except in a refrigerator! All the surroundings were covered with blanket. We played there, throwing snow balls to each other. Neher and I tried to meet snow man but in vain.
After one hour enjoying the scenic beauty of Kufri we returned back to our hotel. And after date we return and written on a notebook that how i spent my holidays.
